Claim your business

Free, no card, no subscription. Claiming lets you correct your details and reply to people looking at your profile.

Claiming does not change your score. Not up, not down. Scores come from public licence records, company registration and review history, and nothing you do on this page touches them. If claiming improved your ranking, our recommendations would be worthless, to you as much as to the people reading them.

Why you’re already listed

We assess businesses from public registers rather than waiting for anyone to sign up: the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board, the Electrical Workers Registration Board, and others. If you hold a current licence, you may already have a profile you never asked for.

That’s deliberate. A comparison that only included businesses that opted in would be an advertising directory wearing a lab coat.

What claiming gets you

What it doesn’t get you

How we check it’s really you

We confirm the claim against details already published on your own website or in the public register, usually an email address on your domain, or a phone call to the listed number. We’re checking you control the business, not collecting documents.

How to claim, right now

Email claims@kiwichecked.co.nz with your business name and the address of your profile page if you have it. That’s enough for us to find you.

Please don’t send licence numbers, ID documents or anything else sensitive, we don’t need them and we’d rather not hold them.

What we do with your details

Contact details you give us are used to verify the claim and to reach you about your profile. We don’t sell them and we don’t add you to a marketing list without asking. You can ask what we hold and request corrections under the Privacy Act 2020, see our editorial policy.

Not listed at all?

We’re adding categories as we can assess enough businesses in each to make a genuine comparison, and we only cover trades where a public register lets us verify a licence. Email the same address and we’ll tell you where your category sits.
